The Most Interesting Photo Shoot in the World
I had the great honor and pleasure of shooting wedding announcement photos for my brother, Kip and his fiancé, Corey. They had some very specific plans. I gotta say, best idea ever. These photos speak volumes about Kip and Corey. (And these are the ones that didn't even make the cut.) They had the last picture made into stickers to seal their save-the-date envelopes.
I'm just slightly concerned that Kip may actually believe that this is what marriage is really like.

Fall of James Photography
The warm weather is finally returning to Ohio and it's time to get booking spring photo shoots for my Fall of James Photography business.
UPDATE: Thanks for your interest! I'm booked up for the promotional shoots. I will begin booking regular sessions, soon.
UPDATE: Thanks for your interest! I'm booked up for the promotional shoots. I will begin booking regular sessions, soon.
Here's the best part... I need some volunteers for a couple of FREE sessions. That's right. Gratis. You get a one to two hour shoot, digital copies of some killer portraits and the printing rights to make as many copies as you'd like. I specialize in natural light portraiture and shoot on location. I love to photograph children and families (if you haven't noticed my own obsession here), but I can also do shoots for couples, newlyweds and even pets. I can shoot at the location of your choosing or I have suggestions for great spots in the Dayton area.
In return all I ask is that you spread the word about how amazing your experience was and pass my contact information along to all your friends who will undoubtedly be so impressed by your new Fall of James portraits!
A win-win situation if there ever was one. Interested? Please contact me via my email address over there on the right. Thanks!

Smile for the Camera
I've expanded my photography subject matter to include animals. George here is definitely my largest (and most temperamental) model to date. At any rate, it was a good excuse to go visit my sister, Hannah!

Ava
I did some more photography work this past weekend. While half as old as my last subject, she was a natural in front of the camera. The weather didn't cooperate entirely, but we still managed some excellent pictures. Thanks, Ava!

Photography Gig
I landed my first paying photography assignment a few weeks ago. Yes, the client was my sister. And yes, she got a steep family discount. But, hey, a paid gig is a paid gig. The subject was my three year old nephew and my sister was pretty happy with the results. I was happy with the results, too, and have raised my expectations for mastering this whole photography thing.

Jameson got to come along as my assistant. He did great and he was a bargain as I only had to pay him with a chocolate milkshake. I also got to snap a few photos of him while we were out.
